Where do the crowns come from (who makes them)? I would like to send a donation so your priest can get one. Please contact me.
Michael Dear Michael, Thank you for your very generous offer. Please let me look into this and get back with you. I don't know if it is even possible to get them because I believe they are made over seas. But I'll check into it. Thank you, Ghazar

My Armenian brother Christopher,
Do you have any information on how to come by a Tak?

You might ask your priest. He probably knows where to look, or knows someone who does.
Keep me informed.

Dear Sarum, Your advice is well taken. I spoke to him this afternoon following the Soorp Badarak (Divine Liturgy). He was delighted to hear of your generous offer to want to donate something to help him purchase one. He told me to give you the address to our parish office. He also said that if you were able help out, he would see to it that your donation would be honored by having your name inscribed inside the Tak. He also said that he would send you a picture of it upon its completion. here's a link to our parish web page: http://www.geocities.com/wmwolfe_48044/St_Vartan.html and here's the address: St. Vartan Parish Office: Phone (313) 584-3345 Address: 8541 Greenfield Road - Detroit, MI 48228 The Pastor's name is: Vartabed (which means "Doctor") Antoine Saroyan Thanks again p.s. Thanks for the great idea.

Don't mention it. I will be sending Father something after the first of the year. I was wondering if you could help me find some Armenian Catholic publications in English? I'm looking for the current Catholic version of the Badarak, and whatever else might be avialable.
Let me know either here, or through a private mesage.
Michael

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Dear William et al:
I do not know where one can find a crown. I also think they are made overseas.
I'm sorry I cannot help.
God bless, Christopher Armenian Catholic

Thanks guys. Actually my pastor has found an Armenian Apostolic Der Hayr's (i.e. a married priest) mother who makes them in our own State. He has placed an order with her. I'll keep you updated.

Please find out the total cost from Hayr Sourp (hope I spelled that correctly)and let me know. I think I mentioned I will be sending the offering early in the year. I'm excited to be able to help your parish and priest in this way. Blessings. Michael

Dear Michael,
We'll do!
thanks again,
Wm. Der-Ghazarian
p.s. Actually my pastor is a special kind of "Hayr Soorp" i.e. he is also a "Vartabed." This is an honor bestowed on celibate priests and it connotes "teacher of religious doctrine" or "doctor of religion."
