Father,
The Liturgy was beautiful. While Iconostasis was rather small I do understand the limitations you must work under in a Roman (Latin) chapel. As a fairly new Byzantine Catholic I have but one question. We chant the liturgy at a much faster pace than you did on TV. Are we an unusual parish or did you chant it more slowly for a reason?

I don't get EWTN...we have satellite.
Amado,
It has been explained to me that the term "other lung" means those Eastern Christians which are part of the Catholic Church/in communion with Rome. Are there official documents that state that this term refers to Eastern Christians not in communion with Rome?

Catholic_Man,
I do not doubt that Bishop Foley is doing what he thinks to be the best thiing for his flock, but I wholeheartedly disagree with it. The Holy Father has reiterated that, ideally, the Tridentine Mass should be offered to all, within all dioceses. I don't think the Tridentine Mass is divise. The pre- and post-V2 rites are not conflicting, they're complimenting.

Father Michael and Dagani-
Being in the entertainment industry for many years prior to the seminary, I know what it takes to put schedules together and cooridinate sets, cameramen, etc.
But I noticed that you have many guests on your shows and that while you will be taping your shows, Patriarch Lybomyr of the UGCC will be in the States. Would it be possible to get him on the show? He has been in the spotlight recently regarding Orthodox/Catholic ecumenism and he has also been touted as the next possible Pope by a small group of Catholic media. He is also very media saavy.
Would you guys be interested in getting him on the show. If yes, I am willing to help you get dates arranged.
In Christ, Ality

Dear Father and Dragani, I applaud your efforts and wish for God's blessings for your efforts.
I hope in the future that other Eastern Catholic Churches will also be able to celebrate public liturgies on EWTN. I'm sure you can find willing celebrants amongst the various churches sui iuris.

Dear Forum members..... What you all say is true........we should do much more.....however, only Fr. Bertha and I have shown interest among all other individuals to spend months of planning, producing, and bringing this series together....we spend weeks rehearsing.....and a grueling 4 days in which we not only tape 15 1/2 hr episodes, which we just did this last week, but also appeared on two live shows, Tuesday and Wednesday evening....not to mention practicing with the choir members for the liturgy in the wee hours of the morning..... We are talking about celebrating other Eastern Catholic lituries, however, it would take a certain Eastern Catholic Church to be willing to spend the money to bring their priest, choir, altar appointments, and pay for all room and board for the days they are there, as EWTN's budget does not allow for that. We are planning LOTE3.....but have not decided what we will cover....... The upcoming episodes will cover in depth our spirituality of Eastern Catholics, and we cover our Carpatho Rusyn Plain Chant.....the 8 tones......and the Litugical year celebrations.........not to mention Easter and Christmas as highlights! We had to run to super markets to get items for the Easter Baskets, and for Holy Supper.......and also review our notes and set up and take down the sets, as we averaged 4 episodes per day! If you have never been involved in the planning that goes into producing a 15 part series, you have no idea about all the work that is involved, so please be forbearing if you feel we've missed something that is dear to your heart. Remember, many of you seem to be well versed in all aspects of the Eastern Church, some more than even yours truly....Just keep in mind that we are speaking and educating Roman Catholics who for the most part never heard of us until I started The Abundant Life series then LOTE. Unless we could get generoug grants from benefactors in our parishes, we will never be able to realize my dream of having "ECTN" Eastern Catholic Television Network, as an affiliate and partner of EWTN. I could make it happen, but right now no one has stepped up to the plate, which is a real shame. The new series should air this Spring.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Fr. Michael,
Stan and I would like to say thanks for being in here Irondale, that we could join with you in worship, and that Stan was able to be a small part of it. May God continue to bless all of your endeavors for His glory.
If I may make a suggestion. Would it be possible for you to have priests or maybe the bishops of the different rites of the East on the LOTE 3. They may be willing to pick up the expences themselves, just to be able to come on EWTN and talk about their particular rite. This would allow many of the churches to have exposure. It would also give the West a better understanding of all the parts of the church.
Your servant in Christ! Rose
