I have just uploaded tons of photos of the new Anaheim Annunciation temple including mostly interior shots! There is no actual iconography in there yet but the architectural details are looking great!

The messenger angel etched in glass pictured below is a taste!

Go to the June 2005 photo album at Reznut\'s Webshots [community.webshots.com] for more photos that also have some descriptions! I have also rearranged the order of the photo albums so you can find the most recent ones on the first page of the site.

Have fun with the tour! wink

This is such encouraging news. I am so happy for your community! Can't wait to come visit!

We should be starting construction on our new cathedral church some time in the next year.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos! I am very excited for you guys. I'm glad to hear that your community is strong and participates in growing.

I'm curious about this colorful blue/purple tree in front of the rectory. What is that tree called?

SPDundas - The gorgeous tree in front of the rectory is a Jacaranda. In spring, we have tons of Jacaranda trees blossoming all over Orange County and probably all over other counties in SoCal. It is one of my favourite trees. Unfortunately they stain pavements and make a horrible mess on cars parked beneath them so it's best to have them in the middle of a lawn where they will just create a lovely purple carpet harmlessly on the grass. wink

I'm interested in seeing what the rest of the landscaping will be around the temple. I believe I spied a Magnolia tree already in place. That's another favourite of mine.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I hoped I named everything in the temple correctly. confused

Michael - Good luck with your Annunciation Cathedral! Please keep us up-to-date with its progress. And, yes, please do come visit! I also hope that you'd come up to me and say 'hi'. My pic is on my profile.

In Christ, Michelle
