Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear JThur,

In addition to your "Million points of light" map, will you also have a listing of all of these churches? Having such a list could be a very useful thing IMO. God Bless!

Dear Joe,

Just when you thought you were done... :p

What about the other Orientals? Copts may be all over the place, but so are Indians, not to mention Syrians, Armenians, and the Ethiopians and Eritreans. And the Assyrians too.

Dear J Thur:

Kudos to your painstaking effort to enkindle the Americas with the "Light(s) from the East." This would be a spectacle to behold.

Hopefully, the Eastern light(s) will eventually eclipse the all too many "sparks" generated by the continuing fragmentation of Protestant denominations into obscurity, preferably into oblivion.

Just say if and when you need additional 19,000 + lights from the West.

Dear Joe:

Sorry, I think there is a miscommunication between us in this regard.

I was referring to the 19,000+ (19,143 to be more precise) Roman Catholic parishes in the U.S. with an average of 3,000 congregants.

Certain demographers place Protestant denominations at around 22,000 separate communities and still fragmenting.

But I really do hope these Protestant sects eventually will be drawn into Apostolic Christianity, East or West.

This is the parish of Maggie, a Native American whose cause for sainthood has been introduced. Let us pray for her speedy beatification! smile

Mike C #1189 I see you mentioned Maggie, the native american who is up for sainthood. I did not catch the article which was referring about Maggie (I suppose you are talking about the late Maggie Sippary, former parishioner of StNicholas Byzantine Catholic church in Anchorage, Alaska). I'm sorry Iam not up on all the articles of the Forum, but can you enlighten me. I have a book about her life, and used to take her to church and other places when she was alive. I, too, support prayers for her sainthood. There are several people in our church who positively think the same.
