Governmental leaders. I don't know if this something we should or should not do. Perhaps someone would wish to comment on that. However, what I'm more interested in is "Do we do such a thing?"

My initial comment/thought is "Why not?" Perhaps there are reasons not to do so that I'm not aware of, but initially, it seems to be a good thing to do.

We commemorate our leaders at each DL. I just wonder if it would be appropriate to buy intentions as we do for the deceased. All of the Godly ones need the support and the ungodly ones need to be under the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

First of all one does not BUY intentions, one makes an offering.
I immediately offered the Mass for their conversion and that they would come to their senses.

Poor choice of words on my part. I realize the Simony has not been the in thing to do since Pagan Roman times.

Keep up the good work, Father. I would suppose if the entire Church did this openly and publicly we might lose our tax exempt status but I will privately join you in such prayers and encourage others to do so as well.
