I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Ukrainian Catholic parish in Saint Joseph, MO still has Divine Liturgy and if so, at what time. I'm attending Benedictine College in Kansas and a friend and I were hoping to go the Ukrainian Catholic parish if at all possible.
Thanks for any and all help!
Did you try calling them? 816-238-1187. If they are not open, you might try the Ruthenian Byzantine parishes in Lawrence, KS or Kansas City, MO.

This Sunday September 6th at 11 a.m. I will be there. You can PM me for phone number etc. I also teach at Benedictine occasionally. The church is right off of US-59 (on Virginia, less than a block from the highway) and it takes about 20 minutes from Atchison.
Thomas,

The best I can offer from the Directory in this case is a map - which, together with the directions offered By Deacon Randy, should get you there.

If you happen to take a camera with you, I'd welcome an interior and/or exterior photo with which to brighten the directory entry.

St Joseph UGCC, St Joseph, MO

That phone no. is for St Joseph's rectory, I believe. Whether it is still functional, I am uncertain, as the parish is now staffed from Assumption in Omaha, NE - rather than there being anyone physically in residence at St Joseph's. See the directory link in the post above for the Omaha phone number.

The Byzantine Mission in Lawrence, KS is no longer served. Info on the parish in KC - actually in Sugar Creek - can be seen here.

Many years,

Neil

Yes, the number listed for St. Joseph is for the parish office which is only staffed immediately before and after services.

Neil - I've got some jpgs of the exterior I can gladly send; hopefully the interior will look different (and better) in the next six months or so. I probably also have some of Lincoln and Omaha as well as I have frequently served in all three. Lincoln is interesting in that the Melkite community also worships at our St. George Church there.
Deacon Randy,

That would be great - you can send any of them to EC_Parish_Webmaster@yahoo.com or to my Irish Melkite e-mail, either one.

Regarding Lincoln, yes I know that the Melkite Mission meets at St George's. Sebastian Carnazzo, a member of that community, keeps me updated on it - hopefully, we'll start to get the listings for the parishes/missions of the Eparchy of Newton on-line next - right after we finish the group we're working presently.

Many years,

Neil
