My step mom Nancy and her sister in law were in an accident this morning. My dad just called. G-ma is going to be there a few days, I think more for observation than anything. She was bruised up, but had on her seatbelt. But, Lois didn't have her seatbelt on, she is pretty bad, but they think she will pull through.

Thank you Jesus that they are not worse than they are!

Life is just so fragile. I covet your prayers for them.

Prayers for all

Prayer for the Intercession of the Virgin Mary, the Theotokos

Lord God, we acknowledge your infinite glory and the abundance of your gifts.

Before the foundation of the world, you appointed Christ the beginning and end of all things.

You chose the blessed Virgin Mary as the Mother and companion of your Son, the image and model of your Church, the Mother and advocate of us all.

She is the new Eve, through whom you restored what the first Eve had lost.

She is the daughter of Zion, who echoed in her heart the longings of the patriarchs and the hopes of Israel.

She is the poor and lowly servant, who trusted solely in her Lord.

In the fullness of time she was delivered of the Sun of justice, the dayspring from on high, your Son, Jesus Christ.

In her flesh she was his Mother, in her person, his disciple, in her love, his servant.

Father, may we who honour the Most Holy Theotokos, know her protection and trace in our hearts the pattern of her holiness.

May we search for peace, strive for justice, and realize your love as we pursue our journey through life toward your heavenly city, where the blessed Virgin Mary intercedes as Mother and reigns as Queen. We ask her to intercede for NANCY and LOIS for their health and healing and that she would place their wellbeing before her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, Who with You Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns as One God unto ages of ages, Amen.

In His Most Powerful Name,
+Father Archimandrite Gregory

Thank you for your prayers, please continue them.

Here is an update:

Grandma has developed an irregular heart beat. The seatbelt caused a huge bruise over and in her heart. She is still in the hospital. But, thank God she had her seatbelt on.

Louis did not wear her seatbelt because some kind of prostesis and the belt were very uncomfortable togehter. frown Both of her knees are broken, one ankle, her sternum, a huge gash in her forhead, and some other things, but thank God she is alive, she is 83. They can't do any surgery until the swelling goes down.

I guess a woman making a turn, turned straight into them. Grandad says the front wheel of the car, the one Lois was driving, is sitting with the back one. The woman that hit them wasn't hurt at all physically, however, I am sure she is emotionally shaken.

Pani Rose,

Thanks for the update.

My husband and I will pray for Lois and Nancy again tonight. A woman went through a red light and hit us a few years ago, but thank God we were wearing our seat belts, so badly shaken, sore, and bruised, but no lasting injuries.

In Christ and the Theotokos,

Thank you all for your prayers.

G-ma is home and doing well. I imagine it will take a while to completely recover since she is in her seventies.

Louis didn't make it. She passed on this past Wed. May her memory be eternal+ I guess she had a breast prothesis and would not wear a seat belt. But G-ma always wears hers.

I know it was hard for G-ma and the whole family.
So thanks again for the prayers. And may God bless you abundantly for your generosity.
