84 years ago, Richard was born in Pennsylvania. He passed away December 26th.

Back in the days when boys had nicknames, friends and family called him "Butch".

At age 14, he volunteered at the local firehouse. Upon high school graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and served during and after the Korean War.

In 1953, he married my mother's sister and became "Uncle Butch". After his Air Force days, they returned to Pennsylvania and raised a family.

Butch also returned to the volunteer fire company and rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Chief. Even after retirement from his day jobs, he continued to drive volunteer ambulance calls until age 75.

He is survived by my Aunt, two sons, four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Blessed repose and Eternal Memory.

Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

May the Lord God grant eternal rest to Richard ("Butch") in a place of peace and light. Eternal Memory!

May the Lord God grant comfort to his surviving family and friends.
