How about instead of using advanced interrogation tactics we just ask these people nicely about planned terrorist attacks.

I am sure if we say please, they will tell us everything.

smirk
How about recognizing that we didn't need "advanced interrogation techniques" (aka torture) to get these guys in the first place?

Gentlemen,

Would you please clarify your points for me? confused
Is it permissible to use any means necessary to get information to stop a terrorist attack? And if the answer is "no", then what is off limits?

Joe
Why dont all the dissidents in this country be given a free ticket to Tehran, Baghdad, Riyadh, Hanoi, Pyongyang, Tripoli, Beijing or Havana. They could dissent till their hearts were content or they were shot!

We have the right to dissent, and furthermore, many of us believe that we have the moral duty to do so.
I'm being sarcastic Dr. Eric. I think sometimes the only way to get answers is by interrogation.

Interrogation is fine, even make 'em listen to Lawrence Welk for 27 hours straight. But do not inflict permanent bodily harm. Don't waterboard people, don't cut them, don't break digits or limbs.

Remember:

Quote
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.

Ephesians 6:12

Remember that these are our fellow brothers and sisters, fellow children of Our God and Father.

Dr. Eric:

I think I would give in and do anything you wished after only about 27 minutes of Lawrence Welk!

Resistance is futile! wink

Don't make be break out the clarinet!
I have found that forcing misbehaving middle school students to watch Barney videos is quite effective in modifying behavior. biggrin
I believe that during our recent invasion of Iraq, the Armed Forces blared Heavy Metal music day and night to irritate and confuse the enemy. crazy
The Left Wing Communist Times, err NY Times printed this story on page 37 while publishing a story about Indian Brick Layers on the first page.

This continues white washing of Jihad and failure to see this Presidents policy stopping attempted attack after attack is disgusting.
