CWN - Following advances by the Assad regime against the Islamic State and other Islamist militant groups, some Syrian Christians who fled to Europe in the years since the Syrian Civil War began are returning home, according to a report from the Fides news agency.

The mayor of one city, Sadad, said that such Christians “are beginning to return to Sadad and also to other cities.” Approximately 100 Christians have already come home to the town of 15,000, with an additional 200 expected to return.
