Active Shrine or Basilica

Active Shrine or Active Basilica denotes a currently active place of worship which has been  designated as a shrine or has had the title of basilica conferred upon it (or both, as some basilicas are also shrines).

Please note that there is often a church or chapel associated with a shrine and, if that is the case, the church or chapel may have a separate entry that includes scheduling information regarding Divine Services that are not specific to the shrine itself.
