Hi everyone,
Does anyone know where I can find a good icon of St. Francis of Assisi?
God Bless,

I may be ostracized for mentioning this  , but I think Monastery Icons has two very nice St. Francis icons. I also love their Our Lady of the Angels icon. Don www.monasteryicons.com [ monasteryicons.com]

Dear Father Don!
Well, that site has some excellent Western devotional themes in Eastern iconic form.
If anyone has any scruples about this or that, we should remember that every icon should be blessed by a priest - and that is that.
My own view is where does one draw the line in terms of purchasing icons?
What about purchasing icons from Orthodox publishers who are known to be against Catholics and the Pope? Or who have less than charitable views of "Uniates?"
Monastery Icons offerings don't necessarily "grab" me, but I know RC's who buy their icons of Western saints and love them. They are also the most well-read and up to date in terms of their knowledge of the Eastern Church.
The articles I've seen against Monastery Icons are written by those who would say quite similar things about Roman and Eastern Catholics.
It's a free country, last time I looked.
Alex

Dear David, You are making yourself visible more and more . . . Why don't you post a photo of yourself here? Or are you afraid the Light from your face would be blinding? Alex
