Does anyone have an English translation of the troparion for Saint Irene Chrysovalantou? I'm sure it's out there somewhere; I just can't put my finger on it!

Thanks!

Dear Chtec,

There is an Old Calendarist Greek Orthodox cathedral dedicated to St. Irene Chrysovalantou somewhere in the Queens section of New York. A few years ago the icon of St. Irene Chrysovalantou there was reported to be weeping (a parishioner named "Irina" from my former parish went on pilgrimage to venerate the icon).

Perhaps the cathedral has a website? You could start there.

Yes, I've been there (both cyber-ly and in person) and their website only has the troparion in Greek. I may e-mail them and see what I come up with.

Ok, Dave, I've gone to the website of the St. Irene Chrysovalantou Cathedral/Monastery complex in Astoria, Queens, NY, which Tony so kindly posted, and I could not find the Troparion to the Saint in English there either. It's almost as if the Greeks want to keep it as a secret to themselves. :-( If you have luck in obtaining an English translation, please do let us know.
