Hello, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
As of tomorrow (day after Thankgiving) is officially a beginning of the Christmas season with a crazy frenzy shopping saga.
During the midst of a hectic and meaningless Holiday errands, I'd like to try to take the time to sit back and do something more productive.
I'm thinking about making a gingerbread Cathedral... I've never done anything with Gingerbreads before in my life.
I just remembered many years ago...seeing a large Cathedral of St. Basil (of Moscow) Russian Orthodox Church....made out of gingerbread...wow..it was extremely spectacular to see. It was about perhaps 4 to 5 feet high. The accuracy was unbelievable!!! One can't really tell it is edible. It looks like it was created out of a mold...but not so..but by the hands.
Of course, I don't want to make it that big.
I'm wondering, if anybody has done anything to create a Byzantine Church...mainly the Russian/Ukrainian styles (with onion domes and etc.)??? Anyone create any edidible Cathedrals? Gingerbread? Chocolate?
If so, please share with us about it and show photos if possible.
Also, is there such template to build one?
Many thanks!
