Dear Yuhannon,
Perhaps you can be a liturgical advisor to a future Hebraic Patriarch of Jerusalem!
I think that it is great that they, the Hebrew Catholics, are relating themselves to their Jewish heritage.
The spin-off is that it will, hopefully and ultimately, help all Christians develop a more positive attitude toward our common spiritual Semitic heritage.

[ 09-17-2002: Message edited by: Orthodox Catholic ]Thank you for that vote of confidence, but others greater in knowledge than I are aviable. Both the Maronite and Syriac Catholic Churches are active in the Holy Land.
I agree with you that more Christians need to have a more postitive attitude towards Judaism and our shared heritage. But tied in with that is that we need to also be concerned with the living stones of the Holy Land the Palestinians. Most of us forget that the Christian Palestinians are the decendances of the Jewish followers of Jesus.
Hopefully, such a Hebraic Church would help to bring Christian Jews and Palestinians together in Christ as the Church was ment to be.
Poosh BaShlomo,
