WND Exclusive MUCH ABOUT HISTORY "Pharaoh's chariots found in Red Sea?" 'Physica evidence' of ancient Exodus prompting new look at Old Testament To me, anyway, this is an interesting article. I never knew there was even a possibility that there was evidence of the crossing of the Red Sea. Thought someone else might find it of interest also. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=33168

Rose,
I remember watching a show on Discovery or maybe the History Channel about natural disasters of the Bible. They claimed to have evidence of a major earthquake situation or something that could have actualy parted the Red Sea.
Thanks for the info!

Yes, thanks Rose. The article was pretty good. It seemed to reflect both sides of the issue pretty well without bias. Although I was aware that some claims were made for the Isrealites traversing in that part of Arabia I had never heard of a possible crossing of the Gulf before.
I am always interested in this type of thing. Publications like this one, the BAR and even the National Geographic are apt to provide pretty good coverage of this kind of historical or potentially historical evidence touching on peoples interest in Biblical events.
If I had to guess, I'd say that any evidence of a wheel in that water would be quite a bit more recent than the days of Moses. And could have occurred from a cargo spillage or sinking.
Of course, we don't really need proofs, our faith does not depend on it. But my interest in archeological evidence always peaks when it may touch upon my faith.
As for myself, I am of the sceptical persuasion for a number of reasons but I learned some interesting new things from that article!
