Does anyone know of any good sources for Baptismal Fonts?
I have checked Istok.net and EasternChristianSupply.biz, but I am seeking more options. We have about $1,200 to spend.
Does anyone have experience with copper Baptismal fonts? Eastern Christian Supply sells Copper Baptismal Fonts, but I am afraid that the copper may tarnish.

I was trying to find a good picture of our font at church. It is 4'X4', it is made of granite on the outside and 1" tile on the inside, octogon shape. If you want a better picture let me know. I am not certain of who made it, but can find out or you can contact Fr. Frank. It is large enough for an adult to have total emersion. Hopefully you can get an idea from one of these pictures, it is really beautiful. Oh the white around the top is towels. http://www.melkite.org/Baptism.htmlhttp://new.photos.yahoo.com/srwan1/album/576460762336759329

Thank You all for the input. I will continue searching. I have now checked Holoviak's Church Supply. Most of the Items I looked at had "call for price," including the Baptismal Fonts. As for the marble, adult full immersion Baptismal Fonts, I think it is a great Idea! However, I doubt that my Church would be interested 1.) Because we aren't very interested in doing things correctly and 2.) Because the person that is donating the Font invisioned a Font that could be moved for storage, I think? But I will ask anyway. I am getting used to the "you are crazy look." But, One more won't hurt

why not just a 150 gallon tub by rubbermaid, like for farms? Cheap, and it works, use the other 1140 dollars to start a outreach to those in need in the community. Note, I have seen those tubs used in several Orthodox churches. you just store them away when you don't need them and use a little one for the little ones! Do you have a font that you use for Theophany, maybe you could use that one for Theophany and the babies and the tub for the adults? I've seen that done. Or if you have neither, what about a tub and look around and get a used little font, metal, not much money, and who knows, someone somewhere probably has an old one around. On the tub option, you could save money on the "who dedicated it plaque" by writing with a white marker, "Donated in memory of Mrs and Mrs. donators" Another OLD one I've seen (the theophany/baptismal font combo) is made from wood, has the cross on it, a lid, wheels, and inside a bowl resting on a board. Cheap, it moves, does it's job. Still I like the tub. Many churches have those metal fonts, I don't know what they are made of? Copper or sheet metal topped with brass? Don't know, most have that patina-usage color.

Actually, before the fiberglass bathtub we once used, we had a huge rubbermaid trash can for adults. But, come on that leaves a lot to be desired when you are speaking of the Mystery of God. When we built the new Baptismal Pool, the Baptismal Font became the base of our Altar. It was wonderful to have the Archbishop bless everything, and especially to get to see the preparation and blessing that goes into a new Altar. It was truly wonderful. I just remembered we have a virtual tour of sorts of our Church. There is a great picture of the Baptismal Pool on it. http://www.saintgeorgeonline.org/index-1.html

We have a copper one in my parish, which is relatively easy to move when needed. As to tarnish, there are ways to clean it periodically if desired. One parish I know has a corrugated metal horse trough which is big enough for immersion. It even had a hand-stitched covering made by a parishioner to cover it prior to use. Of course, I live in Arizona.
