John's Chrismation

Hi Everyone !

Here are some photos from my Chrismation at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church (OCA), in Marblehead, Ohio, U.S.A., on Sunday, 6 January 2008 (Theophany - New Style).

The first photo is of me standing outside of of the temple.

The second photo is of me (in the beard and blue shirt) and my pastor, Fr. David Lis, in the vestibule.

The third photo is of me receiving absolution.

The fourth photo is of my cosponsor, Ed, making sure I don't fall over . . . it was a very powerful spiritual experience.

The fifth photo is of me and my pastor at the reception afterwards.

If you have a MySpace account, you can see the rest of the photos (35 in all). Go to http://www.myspace.com/john_gfoeller and log in.

Thank you, again, all of you for your love, support and prayers. You mean a lot to me. May God bless and keep you all.

Much Love,

-- John Gfoeller

Many years indeed! Great photos, John! I agree that the Service for the Reception of Converts and the Chrismation is extremely spiritually powerful!

John, dear brother and friend,

May God grant you many years in health and happiness and guide you through your spiritual journey.
