Are there any stats for Eastern Christians in the USA?
Bless, Father,
If you're asking about the broader picture, including the Eastern & Oriental Orthodox, yes - there are such available.
See:
Orthodox Statistics [geocities.com]. This data is, I believe, from 2000.
Eastern Liturgical Family (Orthodox) [thearda.com] from the Association of Religion Data Archives; this is primarily historical data and uses a broad definition that includes some
vagante ecclesiae, as well as such borderline Orthodox communities as the African Orthodox Church.
Eastern Orthodox [4truth.net] contains data from the
2008 Yearbook of American & Canadian Churches. It is mistitled, in that it includes both EO and OO Churches and the list is woefully incomplete, including no Ukrainian jurisdictions, for example.
A study on
The Orthodox Church Today [orthodoxinstitute.org], published by the
Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute [orthodoxinstitute.org] in Berkeley, is not a statistical report, but profiles the GOAA and OCA. (The PAOI site has some excellent resource material, by the way.)
Many years,
Neil
