I don't think anyone here is comparing Russia with the United States. You seem to be the one who misconstrues anything that isn't denigrating to Russia or Putin.

I agree. This is not the first time, but Stuart does not understand the word 'charity'.

I will warn him, if he can understand, that insults are not something which are tolerated in conversation here, and that he is not exempt from that rule.

I speak almost daily with friends who grew up in the Soviet Union or its aftermath. When they read some of the praise of Putin posted on this forum they state that such posters here are, at best, incredibly ignorant.
