Hello, I'm expressing my concerns about the Eastern Catholic section of EWTN Q & A Forum. It has been inactive since the beginning of February. Is there anybody on this forum who wishes to help out with the EWTN forum? I don't know who is the moderator on that forum. But perhaps he/she may need assistance to keep up with the demands of the forum. I have had few people privately emailed me about this...asking what happened to it...since they have questions they want to ask but want to avoid this forum because they don't want arguments or bickering here... So does anyone know about what's going on with it? Besides...it's a great tool to educate others about Eastern Catholicism. And EWTN is offering Eastern Catholics a chance to do so. So not to use it very frequently is a huge waste! WASTE! Please who ever knows who is the moderator, to tell him/her to take every chance to make a difference for our Churches. Why not have few moderators on there...I know that on other EWTN Q & A sections...there are 2 or 3 moderators. So...why not have a few to take turns to answer questions every day or every other day or whatever...to keep up with the demands of questions. Many thanks, SPDundas Deaf Byzantine

Since EWTN often seems to claim a greater infallibility than that attributed to the Pope, I can readily believe that one would seldom find arguments or bickering (a loaded word, that) on any "forum" that EWTN might run.
But a forum is expected to be a market-place of ideas, and so long as human beings are what we are, we may expect that the ideas will often differ.

Wasn't Anthony Dragani handling that?

Incognitus Well...it's more one way forum...post a question and you get an answer. That's different from having other people posting and going on and on back and forth between people like this forum does. I'm not putting this forum down...I LOVE IT...but sometimes things can go too far or go overboard when somebody asks a question and we don't need pages and pages of responses with various answers to the question(s). Make sense? SPDundas Deaf Byzantine PS, OH that's right! I think Mr. Dragani was involved with that...I forgot about that...

Dear SPD,
You write that "I'm not putting this forum down...I LOVE IT...but sometimes things can go too far or go overboard when somebody asks a question and we don't need pages and pages of responses with various answers to the question(s)."
True and indisputable - but nobody is or can be obligated to read all the pages and pages if he does not care to do so. From your description, the EWTN "forum" is not a forum but a question box, the Leader of which is presumed to have all the answers.

Dear SPDundas, EWTN's Questions and Answers is exactly as Incognitus describes it. It is intended to be a different format than this. This is a discussion forum...and we all know the twists and turns of discussions on line AND off line! I think that Anthony Dragani did a brilliant job over there, and hopefully he will return soon for you. Perhaps you can drop him a line via PM on this forum to ask him when he will be returning there. Hopefully he will see it on his e-mails and read it. Best regards, Alice

To All,
Dr. Anthony Dragani is now a professor teaching at Mt. Aloysius College in Cresson (Cambria Co.), Pa. Hope he is doing well. May God grant him many blessed and happy years teaching. Mnohaja i Blahaja L'ita!
