If you have an interest in the founding of a new Byzantine Catholic Church in State College, PA, please send me your snail mailing address via e-mail. Fr. Oravetz, the pastor of the cluster in Hawk Run (Saint John the Baptist), of which I'm a member and Colin serves as an acolyte and lector, Clarence (The Dormition of Mary), and the Penn State Byzantine Catholic Community, has been charged by the Metropolitan of the Eparchy in Pittsburgh, His Grace, Archbishop Basil, to start formal action in this regard this summer.
Traditionally, the first Byzantine Catholic Church founded in a particular city is name after the current Archbishop. So the new Church in State College will be Saint Basil, who I put out some information on a few days ago.
Please forward this to anyone that you know who might have an interest in the beautiful Traditional Eastern Divine Liturgy.
