Dear Brethern,

I humbly ask for your prayers for my son Matthew who has rejected many of my requests and fatherly advice and has stepped over the lines within the family and which has resulted in a restraining order. This has been a problem for 14 years or so, there are other issues also. He has 4 kids and they are the ones who will be affected the most.

A healing prayer for the family will be greatly appreciated.

Prayers indeed!

That Matthew's heart may be touched and healed, and that his children may not suffer to much, and that your whole family be comforted in your pain and sorrow!

Dear Jakub,

I pray that St. Michael the Archangel will intercede, fighting off the demons that cause strife in families.

Don't give up on prayer or the sacraments (especially confession) dear Jakub, because one needs to purify his soul as much as one can when battling with the pain that the evil one, the master of chaos, brings into our lives. It is also a good idea to have your home blessed, (and I am assuming that there are traditional RC priests who still do this).

May our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary bring her maternal love into your home and intercede for the special situation which you are facing with your son. May the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant His peace, His love, and the harmony it brings, to all of you.

Many prayers,
with great compassion,
Alice

James,

My prayers for Matthew, that he may be freed from the pain and strife tormenting him, be at peace within himself, and reconcile with you and his family. And for you and the rest of your family, that you may be spared further pain and be enabled to deal with all that's ahead in the healing that must yet come about.

May St. Ksenya Blazhennaya [sptimes.ru] , patroness of family accord, look down with love and with God's blessing intercede between your family and Matthew to bring your hearts and souls into harmony with one another.

Many years,

Neil

Dear Brethern,

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I find it difficult to ask for myself, yet I find it easier to give, I draw no borders for my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Neil, thank you for the link, I plan to research Mama St. Ksenya further.

Dear James,

I have always enjoyed your posts and your quick wit... This time however, I am not enjoying your suffering.

As I looked through the Scriptures trying to find the right one for you, my s-i-l kept coming to mind. So I guess I am suppose to share the story with you.

When our nephew was in fifth grade, my s-i-l had gotten heavily involved in drugs, it was such a bad situation for him to be in. So as painful as it was I turned him over to protective custody of family court. We were given custody of him, oh she was angry with us, so mad. She had to go to rehab and was not a happy camper, but she did what she had to do to get him back. But in reality I can't say things were much better.

However, a few years ago, or nephew is now 23, she actually said thank you to me! She said her parents never told her NO! She said at the time she couldn't understand why we did it and why we hated her so much, but after all these years and having three children, she understands.

SO DON'T GIVE UP! AND DON'T FEEL BAD! Those Grandbabies know you are there for them, they know you love them, and let them know you will always be there. Like our nephew he knows he is loved by us, your little ones will know it too. Also, one day your son will say thanks dad. Sometimes love means saying NO and taking drastic action!

You are in my prayers.
Pani Rose
