Dear LatinTrad, Well, "Chandlers" were candle-makers. An appropriate surname for a future Eastern Monk wouldn't you say? Alex

I remember the priest at my old Byzantine Cath parish telling a story of celebrating Pascha in the late 60's and at the end of Matins at the Veneration of the Gospel and the Icon of the Resurrection, he gave the Paschal Greeting to this rather hippyish young man with long hair and beard (could have been a ROCOR monastic "Christ is Risen!!!!!" "Right on, Father!!!!" Slang does have good uses in the Church!!!!!!! I like this new rap version of our greetings!!!
