Go forth to paradise O Deacon Nicholas! May angels take you by the hand: And at the gate of heaven, may the martyrs greet you at your coming; may they lead you into the holy city of Jerusalem, the holy place of God. May the choirs of angels sing in joy to welcome you, and with Lazarus, who once was so poor, may you find eternal peace in His presence.

Memory Eternal to the Servant of the Holy Altar, the Deacon Nicholas!

In Sympathy,
+Father Archimandrite Gregory

Please pray for +Reverend Deacon Nicholas' wife, Alicia and his children.

I know Alicia through work. She was so proud of her husband being ordained as a deacon.

His obituary can be accessed at: http://obit.pumphreyfuneralhome.com/obit_display.cgi?id=140597&listing=Current

The funeral home does have an online service that allows folks to leave expressions of sympathy.

Blessed reposed and eternal memory.

Tammy, Vicki, or Bill,

I was told this past evening that Deacon Nicholas' two sons are only 2 and 6 years of age, is that accurate?

Many years,

Neil

May Deacon Nicholas' memory be eternal.

Lord Jesus, guide and protect the family of Your servant, Deacon Nicholas. When he answered Your Call, he entered Your Presence to serve the Heavenly Liturgy forever. He leaves a loving wife and children without a husband and father. They need Your Help, Your Comfort, and Your Grace. We struggle with grief that seems overwhelming and faith that is sorely tested. We all need Your Help, but especially Your servants, Alicia and her two sons. Through the prayers of the Mother of God and of all the saints, Lord, hear and have mercy. AMEN.

Today is the six month anniversary of the repose of Deacon Nicholas Rosov of Holy Transfiguration Melkite parish. There will be a memorial this evening at Holy Transfiguration, at about 8:30pm, after Vespers.

I ask that those of my brothers and sisters who are able to do so, please join with the Holy Transfiguration parish community this evening in prayers for his memory and for the love of God and the Theotokos to continue being visited upon Diaconissa Alicia and their two young sons, Nathaniel and Stephen.

Memory eternal.

We will remember Father Deacon Nicholas especially today...that the Lord rest his pious soul among the Saints in Paradise...and remember him forever!

We will especially remember, Diaconissa Alicia and Nathaniel and Stephen today...that the Lord continue His healing of their minds and hearts...and the His Most Holy Mother intercede before the Throne of her Son for their peace and consolation!

Grant rest O Lord to the soul of Your servant, the Deacon Nicholas, who served at Your Holy Altar, pass by all his sins and short comings and enroll his name in the Church of the Triumphant in Paradise! Grant that he may serve at the Holy Altar in Heaven for all Eternity and give glory and praise to you in the name of his Diaconissa Alicia, and his sons, Nathaniel and Stephen and all of us! Most Holy Mother of God guide his soul home to Paradise and pray for his family now and throughout their lives, unto ages of ages, Amen.

In His great love for us all,
+Fr. Gregory

I just found this thread . . .

May God rest his soul. It seems like just yesterday that I saw him at H.T. in good health. frown It was only a few months ago, when I was back in VA.

May God rest him and console his family.

As this has touched my heart, my prayers are with Alicia and her two sons daily. I ask the Lord God through the intercessions of His Most Holy Mother to stand with them, to carry them, to console them, and to bring them to a stage where they can carry on their lives with a greatly diminished pain and hope for the future.

I pray that the two boys will grow to be a source of great comfort and pride to their mother.

May God bestow abundant graces and blessings upon this young woman.

With intensified prayers,
and may God bless the soul of Father Deacon Nicholas....
may his memory be eternal in the Kingdom of God,
Alice

Tammy,

This same thing happened to my own mother just as suddenly. They did operate and that prolonged her life for another six months.

I do pray for Father Deacon Nicholas and his family.

Lord, have mercy.

May the memory of Mary Jo's mother be eternal+

St. Ann's Society at St. Georges received a beautiful note from Alicia and her family. I know she must be struggling, but there seemed to be great peace in her writing.

May the prayers of the Holy Theotokos strenghten and refresh her and the children in this time of grief.
