Just heard that the Pope has been taken to the hospital because of the flu which he's had for several days.

Pray for his recovery and his comfort.

May the LORD spare His servant, His Holiness, Pope John Paul II for yet a bit more time among the peoples of this world! He is often the ONLY clear voice that proclaims the Gospel amidst the clamor and din in our culture of death...and most of 'our' bishops fail to even hold a candle to him. God's will be done Lord, but consider our need and the great hunger we have for someone to "rightly divide the Word of Your truth" in this world today...and give him healing and health for our sake.

Most Holy Mother of God, he who is consecrated to You and Your Son's service as pastor of the Catholic Church is needed in our world, intercede with Our Blessed Lord to spare him for yet more time among us!

In His great mercy,
+Fr. Gregory

Knew about Pope John Paul II's illness but not that he is in the hospital. We are praying and will continue to do so. +

Lord, heal your faithful servant in the precious Name of Jesus.

Did you see these wonderful photos of him from the other day, with the two doves?

[Linked Image]

They had been released by schoolchildren, and were supposed to fly OUT the window - but instead they flew back inside - I love his facial expressions as he's watching them fly around his head! smile

Is that a Byzantine thing or a "general superstition" thing? Either way, let's hope this is the exception that proves the rule!!

SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU!

My poor prayers for the Bishop of Rome, His Holiness Pope John Paul II. A true saint!

Sto lat! Sto lat! Niech żyje, żyje nam.
Sto lat! Sto lat! Niech żyje, żyje nam.
Jeszcze raz! Jeszcze raz! Niech żyje, żyje nam.
Niech żyje nam.

In Christ,

John

Lord, Jesus Christ, Our True God, you chose Your servant, Pope John Paul II, and placed him on the throne of St. Peter to serve us, Your People. Bless him, have mercy on him, visit him, and heal him. May Your Holy Will be done in his life at this time. You know that Your servant has struggled so much to discern, live, and model Your Holy Will during his life as priest, bishop, and Pope. He has been Your Voice to us so often. Please send that voice back to us, if this be Your Holy Will for him. His life, Lord, is and remains in Your Hands. He trusts You and has always called us to do the same.

Holy Mother of God, All-Holy Ever-Virgin Mary, we ask you to spread your Protecting Veil over your son, John Paul, who has dedicated himself and his service to the Church to you. As his motto says, he is "all yours," Holy Mother. His life is in Your Son's Precious Hands. AMEN.

Gal,

It's an Irish thing as well.

Many years,

Neil
