Dear Armando,
There is no need to commit any sin as the Grace of Christ is sufficient for us in our struggles.
We will fall but we can get up in the hope of the great strength afforded us in our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as you know, since you are Greek!
Think about Alexander the Great! Do you remember when he walked about his wounded soldiers and found one man who didn't seem to have anything wrong with him.
"Why are you here?" the general asked.
"I am very afraid of battle, Commander," the man replied.
"What is your name?" the royal general pursued.
"Alexander," the man said.
"Alexander! You have my name!" the general exclaimed. "You must either change your behaviour - or else you must change your name!"
And our name is "Christian . . ."
Besides, Armando, as a Roman Catholic Greek, you are living in the best of two great worlds!
If you are upset about that girl thing, I too was upset after my first love refused to even acknowledge my affections (she had no trouble going out on expensive dates with me, but, to be fair, she did tell me not to fall in love with her and I should have just left her alone).
I thought I was going to die without her. But, years later, I know that it was God Who led me out of that relationship, kicking and screaming, because I would have been in a terrible situation had I married her and would have probably have been divorced by now or worse.
But you live in Hellas - there are all kinds of things to do and places to see (and other girls to have fun with).
If you were living in North America, I could understand, but in beautiful Hellas? Get out there and have some fun. Stop thinking so much as it can get to you.
It gets to me . . .
And then I get to the Administrator, who I'm sure doesn't appreciate it. Neither does my wife, who becomes my next target . . .
Alex
