It's been awhile since I've been on here and I've missed being here. Yeserday, 24 April 2005, I received a call from my brother in Hickory, NC telling me, my dad, Robert has gone home to God. For 14 years he fought Asbestosos and Lung Cancer, my parents were married 60+ years and I would like to ask everyone who reads this to please pray for his soul, my mom, Olga, who stood beside him all these years. I expected the call and did my best to prepare myself for it, though the tears have been falling for several weeks now. I allowed the Evil One to cast doubt that if there is a God, why would he allow such suffering? After the phone call, amid tears of sadness and joy, knowing Dad is in Heaven and no longer in pain, I recited the rosary for the first time in a long time for my Dad and the Most Holy Mother of God once again embraced me. I also ask that all pray for my son, James, whose 13, but really didn't know his grandfather as we live in Eureka, CA and my family is in Hickory, NC. And please pray for me as I will confess my sins this Saturday to prepare myself to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. Thank you all and God bless everyone.

May the angels lead Robert into Paradise.

May the Father give comfort and healing to Olga and all the family - children and grand children too.

May the Sacrament of Confession bring you [ as I know it will ] comfort and healing of body, mind and soul

I join in prayer for the eternal repose of your father's soul and for your family's perseverance, especially your Mom, Olga, and you and your son, James!

O Lord, receive the soul of Your servant, Roobert, who has departed from this earthly place to repose in Your Bosom; lead his soul to rest in a place of light, happiness, and peace, where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither grief nor sighing, but only life everlasting. And as You are a gracious God and the Lover of Mankind, forgive him every sin he has committed by thought, or word, or deed, for there is not a man who lives and does not sin, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life.

May his memory be eternal.

Prayers also for Olga, that she and her children and grandchildren be comforted in their loss by the knowledge that Robert has gone to be with God.

My condolences to you, Seraphim.

Dear Seraphim,

Even in the Psalms, we are allowed to complain to God directly!

A rosary was said by me for your father as well!

God bless you Seraphim and that you and your family be willing to accept Christ's peace and love in a greater way.

May the Most Holy Theotokos draw closer to Olga, intercede with her Son that through his grace poured out on her receive fresh strength to face the coming days.

Jesus said unless we come to you as little children...bring James, a child, to your lap Jesus, loving and instructing him that he may know in a greater way the steadfastness of your love.

May the soul of your father rest in peace+
