I have an uncle of whom I am very close to. He has been recently diagnosed as being in the fourth stage of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma....he is dying. My heart breaks for our whole family as we are very close and are still praying for a miracle. I am new to the forum and would appreciate any prayers and opportunities to make new friends.

Yours in Christ,
Byzantine Faithful

Lord Jesus we lift the heart of our brother up to you. May Byzantine Faithful's uncle find rest in your love. Abba Father we ask for total and complete healing for his uncle in agreement with your Word. Abba not because we are worthy but because you love us, you love him we can approach your throne trusting completely in your mercy and grace to set him back on solid ground, granting your peace to the family and friends.

Prayers for your Uncle Jerry, and that the Lord will help you and your family at this difficult time.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Welcome to the Byzantine Forum! (Byzantine Faithful) And this is a good place to ask for prayers since many here have the heart to pray for others.

May the Lord be close and with your uncle, you, and the family at this time. May peace prevail and all be comforted. May your uncle's pain be gone and may he find comfort in the love surrounding him.

In Christ and the Theotokos,

Porter

Dear Byzantine Faithful,

May I echo my sister Mary Jo (Porter) and welcome you to the forum! smile

I know what a difficult time this must be for you, your family, and ofcourse, your Uncle Jerry.

May the Lord be with him and grant him many graces, in whatever His will is. Have faith in all situations, dear friend, and know that our prayers are with you.

With love in Christ,
Alice

BTW - there are times when some of us read these requests and don't answer - don't think you are being ignored.

Speaking for myself - I read the requests and pray for all those mentioned . but I only answer some - and I suspect there are more like me.

Prayers continue
