My cyber friend Lisa sent these to me. Thought I would share them. As you can tell from the times on my posts I sleep very little, so maybe these will help. Pani Rose

Sleep

Lord Jesus Christ, who slept on a storm-tossed lake, grant me the gift of sleep so that with a mind at peace, a heart at rest, and a body relaxed I may use my sleeping hours for healing and waken strengthened to renew my tasks with brighter vision, confidence and hope. Michael Buckley

O Lord our God, what sins I have this day committed in word, deed or thought, forgive me, for you are gracious, and you love all men. Grant me peaceful and undisturbed sleep, send me your guardian angel to protect and guard me from every evil, for you are the guardian of our souls and bodies, and to you we are ascribed to the Father and Son and Holy Ghost now and forever and unto the ages of ages. Russian Orthodox Prayer

God, our Father, I turn to you in my unrest because I cannot see any way out of the present situation which troubles my spirit. In my confusion I turn to you for Help and guidance because you alone can help me and nothing is impossible to you. Light up my life with faith, strengthen me in hope, and fill me with love, so that I may rest in your providence (Gods divine care, guidance and guardianship of human beings) which alone knows what is for my peace. Michael Buckley

Thank you, Pani Rose! I'm going to print this out and keep it by my bedside.

Lord Jesus, You overlooked and forgave Your Apostles who slept when You needed them most and You gave us an example of praying alone in the quiet of the evening. Help us who are often awake and cannot sleep to spend that time with You in prayer. Help us to keep You company Lord, so that You can share with us words of instruction. May the time we spend with You during the hours of night be of value and consolation to You and to us! Help us to show You how much we love You by always being willing to enter into prayer and quiet with You, alone, within our hearts! Hear us O Lord and grant us much time to prepare to be with You for all Eternity. We ask this in Your name, which is above every other name, Jesus the Christ, Who with the Father and Spirit lives and moves and has His being as One God unto ages of ages, Amen.

Most Holy Mother of God, you who watched and waited in the upper room with the Apostles, watch and wait with us who cannot sleep and help us to pray to Your Son our Lord Jesus always!

In His great mercy,
+Fr. Gregory

+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

Dear Abouna Gregory,

As usual, through your awesome gift of prayer, that is the best prayer of all.

Thankyou so much!
