Please remember a co-worker of mine named Linda. She is a fallen away Catholic who is estranged from her family because of her live-in relationship with her common law husband, and is dying of liver cancer. She is not expected to live past the end of the week.
Jesus, mercy!

I join you in praying for the well-being of your co-worker, Linda, both spiritual and physical!

Prayers for Linda's reconciliation with her family and with our God and Creator. May she die in peace and with every hope in the Resurrection.
In Christ, Alice

Lord, Jesus Christ, even as you said to the good thief..."This day you shall be with me..." I pray for the grace of a peaceful and merciful death for Linda. And I pray for her family that they will move quickly to surround her with comfort, care, and love.
In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. +

I just received word that Linda, who was a co-worker and a student of mine, died just a short time ago this morning.
Thanks be to God, she DID in fact receive the Last Rites this weekend from a local priest at the hospice. She suffered to the end with true dignity, and always maintained a contagious joy throughout her difficult time of trial these past few years.
My children and I sent her a Byzantine style icon of the Divine Mercy (Linda was Polish) with a small stand to keep by her bedside. She indicated in a voicemail on Friday to one of my colleagues how much she appreciated all of the cards and gifts that she had brought (which included this small icon). My belief is that that the merciful image of Christ, so worthy of all our trust, and all of your gracious prayers and the prayers of family and friends offered some consolation to her.
Tonight I will be praying the funeral prayers for her. Please remember her in your prayers,if you will!
Eternal memory!

Dear Gordo,
Glory to God that Linda turned to the Lord. And may the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit be upon all of those who mourn this loss.
God is good and merciful.
Lord, send your angels to carry Linda home.
In Christ and the Theotokos,
Mary Jo
