Chechen terrorists having taken somewhere between 150-400 people hostage in the North Ossetian town of Beslan. Many of the hostages are children, and the terrorists are threatening to kill them if their demands are not met.

Let us pray that Our Saviour Jesus Christ will watch over and protect those who's lives are in danger.

SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU!

I got email from my friend in Moscow this morning. I was concerned because of the bombing yesterday which killed 9 people. The bombing occured 1 stop away from his Metro stop on the Metro line he uses to and from work.

He told me that today is the 1st day of school in Russia and that most of those being held hostage are children and parents. It's tradition for at least 1 parent to accompany kids to school on their first day back after summer vacation.

Some children and their parents did escape in all the confusion.

I pray that Our Lady of Kazan will protect these children and that St.George the Warrior and St.Michale the Archangel will lead the Heavenly Armies and protect these helpless children and their parents...

Christ in the abundance of your tender mercies wipe away all of our sins. Forgive us that our sinning against you has brought the world to this violence. These are innocent souls Lord Jesus, longing to live and be loved by you. Send legions of angels to assist their Guardian Angels and secure their safety in you. During this time Lord for all of those that do not know you, especially adults, may they come to a saving knowledege of you as their Lord and Savior. May they give you all the praise, glory, and thanksgiving for being free. Bring about peace and justice, for all concerned. Most of all let your love reign. Most Holy Theotokos pray for them!

My prayers for the hostages, particularly the innocent children, that they may be spared further trauma and released soon

Dear Lord,

Please hear the prayers of your servants and spare your innocents.

Please enlighten these people who have turned away from Your goodness to allow food and drink for their hostages (*this is an immediate concern as these children have gone without food for two days now) as well as to allow their safe release.

With much pleading through the intercessions of our Most Holy Mother, the all blessed Theotokos and Ever Virgin Mary,
Alice

Thank you Jesus for saving so many from death at the hands of careless man.

For those that died, may their memory be eternal+

For those who are surviving, may they grow in your peace, love, and life. Heal their fears Lord and touch their hearts with Love, for you alone are true Love.

Amen

This is so tragic that I'm at a loss for words. 150 confirmed dead, with the toll expected to rise.

Indeed this is a great tragedy...that shows us all how easily the heart of man can turn cold and hateful against fellow man, even innocent children.

May our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through the intercessions of His Most loving and consoling Mother, OUR Mother in Heaven, give strength to those who are suffering with loss and despair.

To my Russian brethren, my heart goes out to you in your pain and at this difficult time of mourning for your countrymen.

For those departed:

..who have fallen asleep in the hope of the Resurrection... Forgive them every transgression which they have committed in thought, word or deed. Grant them peace and refreshment in a place of light where Your glory delights all the Saints. For You are the resurrection, the repose and the life of Your departed servants and to You we give glory, now and forever. Amen.

**************************************************

May our Lord grant peace to the hearts of men in every culture, faith tradition, race, ethnicity, and religion, for we are brothers and sisters in humanity, and have been given the gift of life by the Father in Heaven.

Humbly,
Alice
