Prayers please for the mail carriers who are out in this weather here in Alabama, we are part of Birmingham. The USPS sent them out to their routes, they have to be back by 1pm. Winds are alredy hitting 58 mph in places. Fr. Deacon Stan is a rural carrier he has been out for about 20 minutes. There are tornados popping up everywhere down Hwy 280. Also, electricity is going out quickly. Thanks

Prayers for all who are out in harm's way, and most especially for the husband of our beloved Pani Rose. Please, dear Lord, see them home safely.

Dear Rose:

Prayers for the safety of Stan and for the other devoted mail carriers of the USPS in Alabama.

They don't have to, like the emergency workers, but they choose to be of service!

Thank you so much! The carrriers came in VERY VERY wet, but safe. I know there were so many out who had to be out, but I told the Lord when he said rain, snow, or sleet for mail carriers I never saw hurricane in that. Actually that is an old Pony Express moto, somehow the Post Office inherited it.

We have our power back up, we are part of the lucky ones.

They said it was going to be horrible, well it was bad, but not horrbile. Not like the Gulf Shores. The winds didn't sustain at 70mph like they said they just gusted there, so that was good. Lots of rain and flooding, no loss of life. They had to use divers to go through an apartment complex checking for people a creek over flowed so fast. Everyone was out though.

It is interesting that when it hit Birmingham it sped up. It went from I think 9 mph to 12 0r 15mph. So though it took most of the day, the hard part was here and gone. They never expected that and that was our salvation from the storm.

Thanks again for your prayers, in came home soaking wet, changed clothes, and went to sleep. Must have been crazy out there. When we were up north, I had to carry mail (I am retired Post Office)trough heavy snow storms, but I somehow don't think they were as bad as this.

God bless you all!

Rose,

I read this after my e-mail to you. I'm relieved to know that Fr. Dn. Stan and you (and the rest of the city) came through relatively safely.

OH My Ed!

You would not believe how God was watching out after him. I am so thankful for everyone that prayed. When he was out on his route today, people told him of things that happened within minutes of his going by thier boxes. Like this one, a huge tree was uprooted and thown to the other side of the road, it passed right where he was sitting putting in the mail in the box. He heard stuff all day long. God was so watching out after him!

Thank you so much sweet Jesus!

Dear Pani Rose,

GLORY to God!

Truly a veil of protection was with Father Deacon Stan.

In Christ our Lord,

I second Alice's comments. Never doubt the power of prayer!
