Christ is in our Midst!

I know that in the Byzantine, Maronite, and Pre-1970 Latin rites the consecration of the Baptismal font is done in the form of an Anaphora (tri-partide dialogue, praise, thanksgiving, epiclesis, anamnesis, petition). Is this true in the other rites of the Church?

Secondly, the consecration of Chrism, at least in the pre-1970 Latin rite was also in the form of an anaphora. Does this also hold true for all rites of the Church? Does anyone know where I can find the text and rubrics for the consecration of chrism that a Byzantine/Orthodox bishop does after his ordiniation?

Thanks.

Not to diverge, but what's the difference between the pre- and post-1970 Latin Church practice?

This "anaphoral" form of consecrating certain things is common in the Syrian rite. Theophany water, candles on 2 February, palms on Palm Sunday come to mind right away, and I'm sure there are others. The baptismal font is slightly different, but very similar. I think Holy Mooron is consecrated this way too, but I am not sure.

Logos Teen,

In the Novus Ordo, the form of consecrating a baptismal font was restructured to not quite have all these elements, and now resembles that of a blessing.
