I was reading the results of this on another forum where people were posting the results to their test. I thought they were really interesting, and thought some of us would find it interesting here too. Maybe, we too can share the results. Belief-O-Matic -- A personality quiz about your religious and spiritual beliefs Even if YOU don't know what faith you are, Belief-O-Matic knows. Answer 20 questions about your concept of God, the afterlife, human nature, and more, and Belief-O-Matic will tell you what religion (if any) you practice...or ought to consider practicing. http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

Thanks for this interesting quiz. It wasn't all that easy. One actually had to read carefully before answering. My results were 1. Eastern Orthodox (100%) AND 2. Roman Catholic (100%) HEHEHEHE! I always knew that what we (Orthodox and Catholics) have in common is far greater than what seperates us, and this confirms it! In Christ, Alice

100% for both Eastern Orthodox and Catholic here. No suprises for me in that.
It does raise the question for me, though, of how one could get a higher percentage of one than the other given the questions asked. Given that our differences are so minor, and that even the "big differences" vary by degree for different groups and individuals within the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Communions, it seems like it would have to be a VERY specific quiz to even isolate a few percentage points difference. Even then I think you'd find variance between individuals within the same Communion, especially with the Catholic Church given its "composite" Latin/Byzantine Greek/Oriental make-up ("Are Essence and Energies distinct in God, or is God fully unified and singular in operation and Essence?" "Yes!") :p
Peace and God bless!

My scores: 1. Eastern Orthodox (100%) 2. Roman Catholic (100%) 3. Orthodox Quaker (96%) 4. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (95%) 5. Seventh Day Adventist (90%) 6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (73%) 7. Hinduism (68%) 8. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (66%) 9. Jehovah's Witness (62%) 10. Orthodox Judaism (55%) 11. Liberal Quakers (49%) 12. Jainism (48%) 13. Bah' Faith (47%) 14. Sikhism (45%) 15. Islam (45%) 16. Unitarian Universalism (41%) 17. Mahayana Buddhism (37%) 18. Theravada Buddhism (37%) 19. Reform Judaism (28%) 20. Taoism (24%) 21. Neo-Pagan (21%) 22. New Age (21%) 23. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (21%) 24. Secular Humanism (17%) 25. Nontheist (14%) 26. New Thought (12%) 27. Scientology (12%)
The test would appear to be at least partially flawed in that at least two of us came up with a percentage for "Nontheist," which obviously we are not, and "Neo-pagan," which presumably comes from the fact that we revere (I would have preferred the word "respect") nature.

Probably that you are theists is the reason your score was so low in those areas, not flawed. You should be pleased it is that way.

I don't take it to mean that you are 12% pagan, but that pagans have 12% of the truth. Thus, a pagan would hold 12% of the same beliefs you do. That doesn't say much about you, but says a lot about what they are missing!
PS - Not so surprisingly, I am also 100% Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic.

I wonder if EO always comes up first or if it is something we are all entering that makes it appear ahead of RC. My guess is that the tie is broken alphabetically, but I'd be curious if anyone ever had RC show up first then EO when both were tied.

I think that what shows up in the first dozen is interestng. I score quiet high to be a Hindu and others are have other Christian confessions up the top of the list. I am not sure I should be worried...just a little.

Sounds more like a baseball bat job to me with that score. Sadly he is probably the norm out there in the general community. Careful not to leave bruises
