In the Horizons paper of the Eparchy of Parma, there are 2 altar servers in dalmatics assisting what appears to be at the Baptisimal Font. Either I am not seeing the dark picture right or something else, but the altar servers seem to have long hair(children). I guess that might be the norm now or a new style of hair for the younger generation ?

Check the thread on "Altar Girls" or some such in Byz Faith & Worship.

In short:

Your eyes do not deceive you

They aren't altar servers per se

They are female.

Hi Sharon:

I had better check all the entries before I put my foot in my mouth, from now on. I guess, that shows, I'm really a Junior. That is really very interesting, and I have to go back to it as there are some very good points to ponder. Thank you again. Sorry. John.
