I will be in New York this weekend for the celebration of my grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary. I will be staying in Hempstead, New York Saturday night. Any ideas as to where to worship on Sunday morning?

Kelly, I went to the Eparchy of Passiac's web site and took a look at the parish locations. Here is one for you. St. Andrew the Apostle 275 Ellison Ave Westbury, NY 11590 Phone: 516-333-3266 Yahoo Maps driving directions says that it is about 10 minutes from the center of Hempstead. Your brother in Christ, David ps how are you doing? long time to email!

There is a Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Hempstead. The people are extremely welcoming. After being there for just one evening, my family and I felt completely at home. I don't know who the pastor there is right now, but they used to have Fr. John Kasczak -- great guy. The parish was located somewhere in "downtown" Hempstead.
