Well I know this is not the normal post on here, but I know Diabetic Socks are hard to find and these are a good price too. I don't know anything about the company, but...I just came across this site, the socks are made in the US from local materials and sound wonderful. I am not crazy about the mens underwear pic on the page, but to get to the socks, I guess it's ok.

Diabetic socks are a softer sock without any elastic or stretch stuff in the top that cause any kind of restriction to affect circulation. They do not have a seam in the toe, top or bottom, that would wear or rub against the skin and possibly cause a sore or blister of any sorts. Actually the can be called 'an ounce of prevetion, better than a pound of cure.' biggrin Like with these they tend to fight against bacteria and such forming in the sock, again causing irritation to the skin. As diabetic wounds in the feet are very hard to heal because of the circulation factor.

This may be off topic:

But here is a treatment for ulcers on the foot in those who have diabetes. All the treatment is done with acupuncture. The article was taken from an acupuncture journal so some of the terms might be unfamiliar. The pictures speak 1000s of words.

Dear Friends,

God has truly sent me here!

This is exactly what I need as I have a diabetic ulcer on my foot that won't go away (I can only push the "it's a punishment from God, so take it" thing so far!).

Thank you!!

Alex

These socks are also great for individuals whose skin is irritated by elastics.

Dear Pani,

Ahem, my doctor is a woman.

And a handsome woman at that.

I need to work up the courage to visit her, especially during Lent.

I've still not gotten over her usual directive to me to "go into the other room and take everything off, Alex . . ."

"Everything?" I ask timidly . . .

"EVERYTHING!" she shoots back. "It's not as if I am going to see something I haven't before . . ."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that . . ." I murmur under my breath as start to unbutton, wondering if she will at least warm up her hands . . .this time . . .

Yes Alex get down to see that Doctor ASAP any sores on a diabetic are very serious as you no doubt already know. I hope she gives you a good telling off and plunges her hands into ice water before the examination, for your sins biggrin
