I don't know if anyone else watched the World Series, but my favorite team the St. Louis Cardinals won!!!

The post-season was very interesting, with the team with the worst record winning the Championship. Just like the Steelers, the wild-card team, won the Superbowl.

I still think that the World Series should include every country in the world since baseball is pretty much world-wide... like the World Cup is with soccer (football everywhere but America.) wink

Mickey Lolich should have prayed harder.

Now now CDL, just 'cause the Cubs haven't won a championship in a hundred years... :p

Your Bears look good this year though, if they get to the Superbowl... will there be a "Superbowl Shuffle Part II?" biggrin

Lovie is telling them to hold off on that for a bit. But who knows. They might be wind up as good at football and as bad at singing as the '85-'86 Bears were. The players then were much more colorful than the ones we have now, but a SuperBowl victory may get them out of their shells.

The Rams aren't doing too badly this year either.

I will never forget Mickey Lolich's performance in '68. It was absolutely amazing. I grew up not far from Detroit and figure if it can't be the Cubs it ought to be the Tigers or perhaps the White Sox.

Lovie is a great coach, the Rams' defense has suffered since he left. Good thing the Rams have Haslett now, he is definitely responsible for the wins that they do have. But with losses to Arch-Rivals San Francisco and Seattle, I don't think that we'll be seeing a Post Season starring the Rams. Unless, the offense can start scoring like before.

When the Cards won in '82 I was just in 1st grade! I remember the "Super Bowl Shuffle" and how cool I thought it was when I was a kid. biggrin And my favorite football player was good ol' #34 Sweetness himself Walter Payton (RIP.)
