On the profile page, there's space for entering your "AIM I.D." and "ICQ I.D.". Obviously I don't have either smile because I don't know what an AIM or ICQ is.

Will someone enlighten me, please.

AIM = AOL Instant Messenger
ICQ = another instant-messaging client.

These, and others, are popular real time, point-to-point internet text messaging mediums.

As an instant messaging vehicle like AIM, ICQ represents the phrase "I seek you!" but is lagging behind in popularity, especially among the young.
