Dear Friends,

The UGCC parish of the Holy Protection in Toronto will, on November 28, consecrate its four new chapels.

One is dedicated to the Precious Cross, another to the Mother of God, another to St Josaphat and the fourth to the Greek-Catholic New Martyrs and Venerable Nuns beatified by the Pope when he was in Ukraine.

The Holy Hieromartyr Theodore Romzha is front and centre among the New Martyr Hierarchs and this will be that church's second icon (the first is in the church proper) of the New Martyrs with St Theodore Romzha.

Alex,

Very interesting... Can you tell us more about these chapels?

Sounds worthwhile. Can we have more details of the services? If I'm able to be present, I shall do my best to attend.

Perhaps a small black Lone Ranger mask, or a Groucho nose, mustache and glasses rig?

Diak,

Now, now, he is looking to get into Canada, you don't want them to mistake him for a terrorist. I think he could go with a battered Kerry sign on a stick over his shoulder and the paper bag over his head, they'd accept him then as just another disguntled American.

Many years,

Neil, who is quick to point out that he has never indicated for whom he intended to vote and that the above is a joke biggrin - no political innuendo intended - please don't read any into it (and who notes that jokes aren't much fun when you have to explain that they are - to avoid trouble frown )

Dear Incognitus (paper bag man!)

The service begins at 11:30 am (Nov. 28) followed by the banquet.

Several Hierarchs will be in attendance, I am brought to understand.

Perhaps you could shape your paper bag in the form of an episcopal mitre? wink

But, no, that would give you away for sure . . .

People who don't tend to be really deluded . . . smile

O.K. I'll stop with that - you don't have to PM me . . . wink

I like the Lone Ranger mask idea.

But paper bags are nice, too.
