Dear Friends,
I have perused the Byzcath.org website for schools. There are a couple in Ohio. First off I'm surprised that I didn't see any in Pennsylvania, which has always been a population big on education.
Does anyone here know if attempts at starting a BC school have been unsuccessful? Does this revert back to our low numbers compared to Roman Catholics? It seems that in some of the larger cities with a few EC parishes that a Byzantine school might be workable. Even the Orthodox don't have many schools that I am aware of.
In the Washington, DC area, there are several EC parishes, and Orthodox as well, that might benefit from organizing an elementary school. How could I find out more information? Is this a question for the Eparchy? Does anyone have a sense whether there would be much interest?
