I have a booklet by Fr. Scott Seethaler O.F.M. CAP. called LENT: Let's Eliminate Negative Thinking. It is available from the Saint Augustine Friary, 221 36th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201. On Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Lent at the bottom is a portion called: Lenten Laughter that I wanted to share tonight. Here we go: Thanksgiving Day was approaching, and the family had received a card with a painting of a Pilgrim family on their way to church. Grandma showed the card to her grandchildren, observing, "The Pilgrim children enjoyed going to church with their mothers and fathers." "Oh yeah?" her young grandson replied, "So why is their dad carrying that rifle?"

Dear Seraphim41,

Though he wouldn't know me from Adam, and I haven't seen him in quite a few years, I can tell you Father Scott is a really good priest and wonderful confessor. He has a website that you may find interesting, and he also shares more humor there. www.fatherscott.com. [fatherscott.com.]

Pittsburgh is blessed to have the Capuchin Province of St. Augustine located here. Another well known priest whose roots are from from St. Aug's is Father Angelus Shaughnessy, who you would know if you ever watch EWTN.

Bill
