I wonder if anyone knows anything about the St Elias School in Seward NE. There is a church and chapel there also under the Eparchy of Nebraska. It claims to be old calender Orthodox. It looks interesting but I'm in the dark about who is legit or not in the Orthodox world. Is this a valid eparchy in communion with anyone? Thanks for any info you may have.

The Eparchy of Nebraska is not part of any mainline Orthodox Church, nor part of any of the Old Calendar Churches in Greece.

Looks very suspect.

It is a vagante group run by a former Mariavite priest who calls himself "Mar Melchizadek". I found a long, unusually detailed autobiography of the guy; obviously a loose canon [pun intended]. -Daniel

Well, it is not everyone who achieves the exalted status of a former Mariavite priest!

And it is not every former Mariavite priest who achieves the title of "Mar"!
