Now why would you wish to do that?
Anyway, just stop posting if you don't wish your posts to appear. I have no idea how to unsubscribe.

Dear Irish Anchoress,
At the bottom of the forum summary page, (where all the areas are listed before you click on one to get in)...you will see 'Contact Us' . Click on that, it will give you an e-mail page all filled out, and then all you have to do is write in it and make your request. Send it and it will go to the Administrator.
I truly am sorry to see you go, but I do understand. Anything that disturbs one's peace of mind and soul should be set aside.
God bless you. In Christ our Lord and Saviour, Alice

Dear Friends,
I really hope our Administrator has a close look at the situation involving Irish Anchoress and comes up with some sort of ruling/teaching that we can all take to heart.
The way Irish Anchoress was treated here was, in a word, disgusting and unbecoming a forum of Christians.

Alex,
I have not had the chance to read all of IA's posts or the responses to them but she has been misrepresenting herself on the forum to a degree so I think this in part could account for the response to her.

Alex,
Hope you are having a great day as well. I found this post misleading:
"I am now not a member of any denominational Church. And I am a Consecrated Anchoress/Nun in a Religious Order; Living Stream, Little Sisters, Sisters of Faith. My Vows and my vocation are in the safe-keeping of our Arch-Abbess. The Order is Old Catholic, founded in England in 1860; we are in Communion with the Byzantine Catholics in Canada - which is how I am here with you; and thus with Rome. I go to RC Mass, when I am well enough which is not often; all my prayer and worship and praise are up here alone on God's Holy Mountain. It is a very "old" calling He has entrusted to me. But we are autocephalous. And we embrace Sisters all over the world and from all Catholic denominations. We took in the small group of Byzantine Catholic Nuns in Canada, for example. we are Traditional Catholic Nuns; as the face of religious life changes beyond all recognition, Sisters come to us from other Orders."

Dear Anhelyna, This is also addressed to the Scion of Sts Stephen and Lawrence . . . Tony made an excellent suggestion which I'll follow here. The "Byzantine Catholics" referred to by Irish Anchoress are NOT canonical Byzantine Catholics i.e. EC's in communion with Rome. They are outside that communion and also outside Orthodoxy. And the fact that they call themselves "Byzantine" and are from Canada should tip one and all that they are uncanonical - we're too "cultured" up here to allow for non-ethnic appellations. But, as with many Old Catholic and other groups, the name-tags tend to be confusing. At least this group had the wisdom to use a short title . . . I once had an acquaintance who belonged to an "Orthodox Catholic" group and who wanted to introduce the Anglican Rite into it. He asked me what I thought it should be called. I said, "Why, 'Anglican Orthodox Catholic' of course!" And so . . . there is such a group now . . . IA simply and wrongly (as I probably would if I heard of that group) that it was canonical and truly in communion (union, under whatever Bob Orthoman prefers - as long as he's not mad at me any more) with Rome. Rather than berating IA for that innocent error (there are lots of others who commit errors that are not so innocent), we should praise her for not being upset at the possibility of being in communion with Rome. Bob Orthoman, Matthew Panchishin and some others would have a thing or two to say on this score . . . And they have, haven't they? So, I think the revered BC leaders of the forum are making a mountain out of an Irish mole-hill on this score. When people attack Rome here, there is a markedly diminished response on that score, wouldn't you say? Have a great day. Alex

Dear Anchoress,
Glory to Jesus Christ!
There is no real need to unsubscribe, since the 'forum' is not something that is distributed. If you do not wish to visit, then just don't.
The only thing you may want to do, if you are receiving 'private messages' at an e-mail address you may have entered, is go to 'my profile' and indicate in the right place that you do not wish to accept private messages. Then you will not be troubled in any way.
Asking humbly for your good prayers,
Elias

Irish Anchoress asked about unsubscribing, Hieromonk Elias has offered a reasonable reply to her inquiry.
Irish Anchoress,
you may also choose to log out, and remain a lurker. The "log out" function appears next to your Displayed Name of "Irish Anchoress".
So that this request for specific info doesn't digress into something more than its original intent, I'm closing the topic.
I'll remind Alex that the quickest way to report unseemly posts that require our attention is to use the "Report Post" function which may be found on every post. PM's only work if a moderator is currently logged on the Forum. The "Report Post" function sends a message to the moderators' respective e-mail accounts.
