Hi:

I am looking for musical notation for the "Moleben to Jesus, Lover of Mankind"

Does anyone know where one can be obtained - either thru "publication" or via an electronic copy?

I have Fr Michael Sopaliga's tapes - but it'd be nice to have hard copy music, too.

Thanks!

Please Note that the above-referenced materials from the MCI Website seem to utilize some of the principles of the proposed revisions to the liturgical texts and plain chant and, as such, do not match the texts and musical arrangements in common use in the Metropolia for this service.

Unless I am mistaken (and, I could be), I believe the Administrator had prepared some musical settings for this service as a companion for the booklet published by Msgr. Levkulic.

Unless your parish is introducing this service for the first time (meaning the Faithful aren't familiar with any other text or music) those arrangements (again, if they exist) would probably work out better for you.

crule, are you specifically looking for a prostopinje setting? I probably have a couple that are primarily Galician samoylka or mixed Galician/Kyivan/prostopinje.

It's "new" to us... however, some of the old schoolers would probably recognize some of the older settings.

As part of a weekly adult-education series, we're going to try to do a moleben before hand.

If "Administrator" has some sheet music, that'd be awesome, too.

I'll bring the MCI's print outs as well.

First of all, I want to thank those that offered help with my learning how to cantor the Moleben to Jesus.

Now, I've been asked to prepare to learn the "Moleben to the Most Holy Virgin Mary." I've listened to Fr Michael Sopoliga's cantor-tapes and I have determined that this one will require some kind of sheet music to assist me - memorization from his tapes will not be enough. I am

So, who's got some music for this one? The version I have for this Moleben appears to be a "Byzantine Seminary Press" production - consisting of 8 pages of Moleben, and additional pages for a "Supplication to the most Holy Eucharist" - followed by some hymms.

I've got 2 weeks to prepare.

Thanks in advance for any assistance I get.
