I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but here goes. I'd like to introduce St Nicholas Day to my children. What are your family traditions for this day? Thanks!

Dear SAHMommy,

You may want to check out this website that is totally dedicated to Saint Nicholas, and keeping him in the life of the Christian home. It gives both eastern and western traditions. I hope this is of some help.

While this may be slightly off topic, for those of us that celebrate Saint Nicholas Day, I am seeing if ByzCath can make available a few avatars for December. If they become available we will let all know. Hopefully we will know in a couple days.

It's running in my mind that there have been some great threads on St Nicholas traditions in the past - but sadly at the moment ,[ due to new Software ??,] I can't find them frown

It's also running in my mind that our very own Fr Deacon Randy [ aka Diak smile ] wrote some posts on this too - here's hoping he will spot this and come to your rescue

Thanks for the website, Father! While we've avoided the Santa stuff with our kids, the extended family plays it up big. That site will help us teach our kids who Santa is based on without ruining the extended family's Santa stuff.
