I'd like to compare and contrast some of the things done in the Orthodox liturgy to things done within our own church. For instance, one difference was the creed being recited by only one person for all.

Well for starters of course this was a very special Liturgy - I suspect more than a few things were not what we would normally see in an Orthodox Church Liturgy .
