Some of you might be familiar with Abbot Joseph Homick of Holy Transfiguration Monastery (Byz Uk Catholic) in Redwood Valley, California. He does the very well known and incredible blog "Word Incarnate - blogspot.wordincarnate.com. I read it regularly. Anyway, he has just written a new book entitled
"Joy Comes With Dawn: Reflections of Scripture and Life"
which I just got a copy of. This is the only place I know of who is selling it so far, as it just came out:

http://www.aquinasandmore.com/index...itle/Joy%20Comes%20With%20Dawn/index.htm

There is more information there about the book too. I think you can also buy it from the monastery but I am not sure. Abbott Joseph is also a regular contributor to Stephen Hand's website called Traditional Catholic Reflections. I really recommend checking out that site too.

I hope you will find Abbott Joseph and his words of wisdom as inspiring as I do. Also, if you are ever in northern California and can visit the monastery, you must do it. I've had a long relationship with it going back to when Fr. Abbott Boniface, of holy memory, founded it. If your knew Fr. Boniface, then you knew a saint!

I'm now living in Colorado (just moved here) and trying to find my way.

Thanks.

You can buy the book directly from the monastery and increase their income. They don't make it easy to find their mailing address however. And of course they don't take credit cards. Perhaps, if they posted their address and Abbot Joseph autographed each copy sold directly, they could increase their sales.

Amazon.com has the book also, but their cut is 55%!

Oh, please don't order any Catholic or Orthodox books from Amazon! They could care less about us and they sell anti-Catholic and anti-Christian books in droves. Ordering from Amazon is of no benefit to the Church at all. Order from a Catholic retailer if you can. I know the retailer I mentioned www.aquinasandmore.com [aquinasandmore.com] sells Abbot Joseph's book for the same price and they also carry the pure beeswax candles that Holy Transfiguration Monastery makes as their main source of outside income. We should always try to support each other whenever and wherever we can! Thanks.
