If you select Jan 1st 2007 from the dropdown menu you can hear a 30-minute programme on Orthodoxy. There is a discussion between a Catholic and a British Antiochian Orthodox priest, and the programme also features a Catholic nun who converted to Orthodoxy. There is even a mention of the 'U' word but in fairness, the Northern Irish presenter would not be aware of the connotations. http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/programmes/beyond_belief/index.shtml

Dear Brigid,
An excellent presentation. Thank you for posting this link.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Dear Brigid,
Great presentation. It is great to hear about the Nun converting to Orthodoxy.
I'm an Ex-Roman Catholic in United States and decided to convert to Eastern Orthodoxy back 6 years ago this month of Jan..
Eastern Orthodox Christians are growing in the U.S.A and it is good to see. It will help bring GOD into the lives of many many People here in America.
Thank you for the sound tract it gave me great joy

Dear Frank,
Nice to meet you and glad that both you and Fr Anthony enjoyed the presentation. I thought it was interesting that a Catholic priest was invited onto the panel and that the conversion story of Mother Johanna was flagged up as it wasn't my impression that Catholics form the bulk of the British converts to Orthodoxy. I don't know however, maybe someone from the UK can tell us. The Antiochians have a contingent of former Anglican clergy and have attracted other Protestants as well. Of course, there are individual converts from all backgrounds, including RC, throughout the various jurisdictions present in Britain. Like you, Frank, I'm also a former Roman Catholic and will be celebrating the fourth anniversary of my reception into the Orthodox Church at Pascha this year.
Greetings from Ireland,
Brigid

Hi Brigid,
It is great to see that RC are converting in Ireland also not just England. Weclome aboard Brigid, may your walk in the LORD help you make move ever close to HIM.
Orthodox Christianity has turned out to be the best move forward in turning my life around. I needed GOD in my life so badly and my Priest Fr John Bacon has been my biggest help.
My RC family had trouble with my converting to the Orthodox faith but if they understood how much it has help me correct my former life.
The RC Church has lost its stand in the world when it comes to saintly postions.
Orthodox Christianity would be a great help in healing this sins that are committed in both Ireland and the United States.
Western relgions never seen to be able lift the people mines to GOD.
Feel to contact me if you need to talk to your Orthodox brother here in the States.
GOD bless you Brigid
Frank
